About Edward Whittington
Edward “Eddie” W. Whittington, Jr. was born and raised in Marion, SC. After graduating from Marion High School, he attended the University of South Carolina where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, while playing football for the Gamecocks. He then went on to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law. After earning his Juris Doctor and passing the South Carolina Bar, he moved back home to Mullins, SC where he has been practicing law since 1974.
In addition to running a law practice, Eddie has served on several boards of directors including Marion County Healthcare Foundation, Pee Dee Academy, The Davis National Bank and First National South. He is also a member, and Paul Harris Fellow, of the Marion-Mullins Rotary Club. He also maintains memberships in the University of South Carolina Lettermen Association, South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the South Carolina Criminal Defense Association, and the South Carolina Commission of Lawyer Conduct.
Presently, Eddie serves as President of the Marion County Bar Association where he has served in this capacity for 10 years. Eddie handles many types of legal matters including those involving DUI’s, probate, real estate, wills, and contract preparation and review.
Mr. Whittington is married to the former Donna Meares, and they reside in Mullins. They have two daughters and five grandchildren who all live in Columbia, S.C. He and his wife attend Mullins First Baptist Church.
